Built for that strip of wall nothing else fits

In an attic bedroom or a finished basement, the wall meets the ceiling at an angle and all that space goes unused. A square bracket cannot mount there. Shimming one to the right pitch means measuring the slope, cutting wedges, and hoping the shelf comes out level.

This bracket carries its own adjustment. Screw the mounting plate flat to the sloped wall, swing the arm until the shelf reads level, and let the teeth do all the work. One design covers every pitch from vertical to flat, so you do not need to know your wall's angle before you order.

Ten seconds, start to finish

  1. Mark it. Stick the paper template to the wall and drill four pilot holes.
  2. Mount the plate. Mount directly to the stud, drywall screws, or butterfly bolts, flat against the slope.
  3. Set your angle. Slide the arm on at the angle where it sits level, and the gear teeth hold it there.
  4. Load it up. Drop your shelf on top and a rod through the hook.

Wall mounting screws are not included. Please mount using a method that is safe for your situation. #8 × 1.5″ wood screws into studs, butterfly bolts, or drywall anchors rated for the load you plan to hang.

How the lock works

A ring of teeth on the mounting plate meets a matching ring on the arm. Once the two are seated the arm cannot rotate, and the load on the shelf presses the rings harder together. There is no thumbscrew to retighten and no friction joint to creep.

Changing the angle later means lifting the arm off the teeth and setting it down one notch over. The cover plate hides the mechanism and keeps clothing off the gear ring.

The gear-tooth mechanism is the subject of a provisional patent application. Patent pending.

Questions

Do I need to know my wall's angle before ordering?

No. The same bracket covers everything from a vertical wall to a nearly flat ceiling. You set the angle on the wall during installation.

What shelf and rod do they take?

Any flat board you like on top. The hole and the hook are both 2 inches across, sized for a rod up to 1.5 inches, so a standard closet rod or a length of 1.5″ pipe drops straight in.

Are screws included?

No. Use #8 × 1.5″ wood screws into studs where you can find them, or drywall anchors rated for what you plan to hang.
